Amenti
   In Egyptian myth the Land of the Dead and first region of the Place of Reeds, where dwell souls who lived upon earth offerings. Ruled over by Menuqet. The name is also given to the West or Other World, as the region of darkness to which souls must go on their way to the Elysian Fields. In the Tuat, or What is in the Next World, reference is made to the Horn of Ament, the utmost boundary of the horizon of Amenti, as being one of the boundaries of the Elysian Fields. Other regions were Sekhet-Aaru, Sekhet-Hetep, Sekhet-Tehant. Also known as Pet.
